Mind and Brain is a private medical practice committed to providing optimal care for each individual patient. Practice fees may be adjusted from time to time to reflect changes in Medicare rebates, operating costs, and professional services. For existing patients at 11 September 2025 new fees apply from 1 November 2025

ADHD Assessment Fee Schedule

Payment Schedule:

Payment 1 - $200 – Deposit when registering (deposits are nonrefundable and part of the total cost)
Payment 2 - $600 – Due before psychologist appointment
Payment 3 - $600 – Due before psychiatrist appointment

Total Cost: $1,400

Notes:

Medicare rebates apply only to psychiatrist sessions with valid GP referral.
Psychologist appointments are not Medicare-rebatable.
NDIS or private health funding is not automatically applied.
Fees are not final until registration is completed and the deposit has been authorized.

Fees and Rebates

A $200 deposit is required when registering.
Medicare rebates apply to all consultations with our psychiatrist.
If you plan to claim through your private health insurer, please confirm in advance that your policy covers outpatient psychiatry.

Reminders and Payments

We’ll send appointment reminders and a secure payment link six days before each appointment.
All follow-up appointments must be pre-authorised no later than one day prior to your appointment.

Changes and Cancellations

Initial appointments: Please give at least one week’s notice to cancel or reschedule. Missed initial appointments, or changes with less than one week’s notice, incur a $100 fee.
Follow-up appointments: Missed appointments, or changes with less than 24 hours’ notice, incur a $100 fee.
If you need to change an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
We have Telehealth facilities available for follow up appointments if you are Covid positive, have cold and flu symptoms but are still feeling well enough to attend.
